I can't believe someone hasn't jumped on this deal! The damn gel job probably cost more than cyclone's asking price. Plus, it already has a set back intake and blueprinted bottom.
This is a great opportunity for someone to build up a clean lake rocket.

damn, I was still rollin pennies to come up with enough to buy it :D Guess I'll just have to drive the cruiser for another season ;)
So come on Mike, let the cat out of the bag.... What is it gonna be? I've heard all sorts of possibilities, some of them seem viable, others seem a little far fetched.
Are you going to come out in a 19 daytona just so you can one up Chris with the same exact hull? :D Or are you going to step into the aluminum realm with tunnel and bring some of that white water action to the drags? I'm sure we'll see a story on the boat in HB, so can you at least tell us if "whatever it is" is out of the mold yet? March is comming quick bro, and the BGJ class seems to be growing :)
BTW, you're closer to Dave's place now, but if you ever need access to a mill up in LA at some point during the rigging process, just give us a holler.

You better get to work on some test drives for a new ride if you're gonna play that game :D Gonna have to get in line for a layup here pretty soon if you want something for early summer.
BTW, I think you should hold onto your mill if you go the route you were talking. You'll be lucky to get half of what you have into it if you sell it with the boat, and it would make for a nice sleeperish playboat under a hatch with a little scoop.

I don't know, I have not seen it since the last river trip. Its been under the cover ;) Its just a cruiser
actually I just waxed the boat last weekend, and I am taking it out this weekend to run it around a little. Probably just a puddingstone, but I just may roll to the river. I have been known to make up my mind Fri night. I already have clothes out there so it would only take me but 5 minutes to be on the road LOL.

Corinne and I are trying to set up a test drive for next week, we will see how that goes. I want to drive one with a stock motor to see whats that like, then we will see about keeping my motor or selling as a package.
I may be heading out to the river to pick my boat up next weekend also, time to get it home and ready to sell or for the up comming season.

Sheesh it feels like I sold it for pennies compared to the amount of work i put into it. Ah well, at least its going to a friend that won't repaint it pink or something horrible like that.
As for me, i'm getting real close to letting the cat out of the bag. I'm 90% sure the boat should be out of the mold next week and I'll post up pics afterwards.

Mark,
Would that test drive be on a weekend or during the week? If I'm still without an office(damn I hope not) I could go as extra ballast to simulate your two kids ;) Either way, it would be cool to have an "all in one" type boat.

Sweet, I bet your one anxious little bugger right now. At least the fact that its comming out of the mold means its fiberglass(or kevlar ;) ) and not aluminum, so I can pull that off the list.
Does the new owner of the Rogers hang out on the boards? Anyone we know?

Definately not a metal boat. Those are rad but not exactly designed for drag racing. I'll let the new owner announce themselves. Don't want to blow up their spot.

The only person that should be worried about getting sawed off is you.I just love sawing off blown guys with the pump gasser. :220v:
My cousin is buying it, hes got a pump gas 540 that DNE is helping him with, should be a fun boat for him.Hell probably saw your ass too.

Cyclone,
I hope you sold it minus the interior!!!??? Send me a pm or an e-mail. That's gonna suck if i have to live with my interior after getting the wife to agree to let me replace it (not that she is controlling the purse strings, but if mama ain't happy then NO One is happy!!) .

Boats offically sold, we picked it up today. My cousin Jordan will be pieceing it togethor over the summer.
We will be re-rigging and fabbing all the hardware ourselves and most likely buy all used jet parts, fuel tanks, etc. from ebay and the boards.Trailer will be getting completly overhauled and we are hoping to have it on the water by mid to late summer, if hes financially capable. :notam:
engine is a n/a pump gas 540, hoping to see 750-800 hp out of it, its currently shortblocked but he has everything for the motor already.
We'll keep you posted on the progress, we'll get going on it tomorrow.
