That has a cool profile, did they work? It has to be rarer than hens teeth!

I have a 68 Hydroflite, with a 455 Olds......Wish it were a BBC or FE ford, but it runs pretty good for a 36 yr old boat.....Yes CJ, they seem to be rare. Since I got mine in early 03, I have seen/heard of a total of 6. And one or two of those may have been the same ones. They are fun boats unless you like to turn under power, cause they won't. The steering cable has been broken a couple of times by drivers trying to make it turn, this was before I owned it, as I was told, and I found out quickly, it doesn't make any difference when you try to steer it untill you back off and let it settle in the water. Mine still has the old Aeromarine v drive in it with 12% gears, real sudden up to about 80, (GPS'd at Red Rock @ 78.5), then trys to pitch you over the deck if you back off to quickly.........That one, with the Casale, and the BBC set up stuff would make somebody a real screamer.........MP

Jerk, There used to be one that drag raced around here in the late 60's early 70's. I believe it was owned by Bernie Sanberg. He now owns a custom paint place in Olympia. Superlite may have pictures or some rare footage.
Oh, Yeah... Happy New Year!

Hud is takeing over the bizz for me! Just kidding Hud! :smile:Imagine that Mouser's on a boat for sale thread :D . Come to think of it so am I :rollside: . Moneypitt should pick this boat up for a spare at this price. I think one of these restored ( no offense Moneypitt) would be really cool.

What do you mean restored??. Just kidding Billy, I agree my old boat was/is just an old boat. But I'm working on it, and the next time you see it I hope it will look different.........Run the same, but look different....... Is this the 427 powered boat that was recently purchased? If so, what did the buyer put the motor in? and now he's dumping (well not dumping at the asking price) the boat! I guess thats one way to get a 27........MP
