If you are starting a new business, learn from my mistakes. I just thought you all should know in advance that I really forked up...and learned a valuable lesson in the process.
In the interest of saving time, I opted NOT to get a proof calendar from the printer before ordering the girls & boyz calendars. A proof calendar is 1 calendar the printer sends you before all of the calendars go to press. I did a proof calendar with the Friends & Family Calendar and made a few changes before the final copy went to print. It would have taken an additional 2 - 3 weeks if I went thru that process....but I was in a hurry. My bad. :( I was lucky...the boyz calendar turned out great.....but Mrs.MainEvent ended up with HOT PINK LIPS!!! I have already contacted MME and after thinking I would get a good caning, she was actually pretty cool with it. (What an amazing lady!!!) Take a look for yourself....

It looked great on the computer....but when it was printed....well let's just say...HOTLIPS!!!
Starting my own business has been an adventure to say the very least. This was the first time I have ever done anything like this....and I have learned a lot during my journey. If my business should fail in the months/years to come....at least I can say I tried. If not, then I can only get better...right?
So what have I learned during this particular experience? Never try to take short cuts even if it does save you a couple of extra weeks.
Cheers ~River (Learning the Hard Way) Kitty :(
