I just called him and gave him my info. He is going to check into it and get back to me. I will be totally amazed if he finds an underwriter that will sign up for insuring a 25' cat with 120+ mph speed capability. But what the heck, it's worth a try. I will post back here one way or the other if I get a return call.

Well Mike got back to me but had bad news. He has to deal with the same underwriters that everyone else does and they think my 1170 hp Carrera 25' cat weighs 3500 lbs and will run 153 mph according to NADA's horsepower to weight calculations. I wish it would go 153 then I could keep up with Rock it Man. :D

Always sounds too good to be true.RR maybe if you had 1150 hp instead of 1170hp. :2purples:

Jrocket and PD, I think you both may be right. ;)
Shadow, you are right in that it was worth a shot. Mike and I did talk about what horsepower might be approved. Their cut off is 120 mph and it's all based on NADA's horsepower to weight calculations which are way off. First of all they had my boat listed at 3500 lbs when I know it's 4,500 with no fuel, ice chests or people in it. I would probably have to have less than 900 hp for their calculator to show a 120 or less mph capability. Maybe I should reapply since it really does make 900 hp at 4500 RPM. :D
Debbolas, thanks for the tip but I give up. I believe all these insurance brokers have to use the same very few underwriters and they all seem to have the same rules.
