Hello all, I would like everyone to hear about a situation that a friend has been thrown into and a benefit that is being held for him. Over the weekend our buddy Sid was involved in an altercation with 2 guys, where he was laid out with a punch which unfortunately didn't end it. The other guy involved felt it was necessary to further the damage by giving Sid a devastating stomp that crushed his skull in many places from ear to ear as well as breaking his jaw, nose, and eye socket bones. He went from the Simi hospital to UCLA where he endured a 5 hour surgery which included the addition of 4 plates and bone grafts. He seems to be doing good so far and will hopefully be home with his family very soon and begin some recovery. Unfortunately for our friend, he did not have medical insurance and of course his monetary damage is gonna be gigantic. Although we understand that a benefit will not bring in the tens of thousands of $$ to pay for it all but at least right now we can help with his immediate bills, debts, car payment, etc..The benefit will be held on Sunday January 30th at The Arena in Simi Valley at 2pm-5pm and anyone is welcome to participate. Basically what we are looking for is donations from business owners, services, or anything that can be included in the many raffles that will be going on. (Of course I will be supplying porn, hey it's what I know!) Seriously anything you can do is much appreciated to Sid, his family, and our friends! I would like to thank tcook33 for putting the arrangements together and getting me on here to let everyone know! If you need more info on any of this info or donating for the benefit, raffle info, etc please PM me or tcook33. The following businesses involved have been secured so far and all have made great contributions:
DVS
Mattix
118 Boardshop
TRE
Simi Bike Works
Audio Concepts
Oneal USA
MOTO XXX
Blacksmith Choppers
Helmet House
Volcom
Surfin' West
Cirocco Plastering
Cook Contractors Inc.
Darling Plastering
Liberator Motorcycles
Streamline Finish Carpentry
Kopy King
UNLEASHED
Thanks for your support, help, and hope to see you there Sunday January 30th 2pm-5pm...can we sticky this HH?? :)

Al'Co,
I will stop by....also, you might want to setup an account for people to donate to...even a paypal account....if it is the same Sid I know, I am really saddened by it as I know him as very cool and mellow guy who would help a friend out in need... :frown:
My prayers go out to him and his family...

Yea, same guy...really one of the most non-confrontational guys we know :(
I don't really want to just ask for $$ I guess, but if anyone can donate some things to be part of the raffles that would be great! We now will have an '05 XR50 that will be another raffle for $10 each...with other raffles going as well for $1!

The brutality of people never ceases to amaze me . . . neither does the generosity of others. I wish your friend a speedy recovery.

..that would be cool, but to me the whole collection of cash thing is kinda weird. That's why the PayPal idea never came about... :)

Thank You to everyone here on ***boat that has helped out with this benefit with either donations or just kind words. It was an awful experience that I learned alot from.
A special thanks to DEANO from Unleashed for the product, THE GREY GOOSE for the white hot putter, and THOM for the Ping driver,. I don't know any of you yet, but I look forward to meeting you all this summer. Also thanks to ALCO for setting this whole thing up here on ***boat.
The benefit raised over $14,000 and we are considering that a success.
It was good seeing you MBROWN, thanks for the support.
Thank You all again. You are all good people.
