Is it safe to take my boat out?

I have a new jet boat and I want to take it to the lake this weekend. My only question is they tell me that the water is really churned up after the storms here in California.I am told there isn't much debris, but the water is brown and cloudy. Can this hurt anything?

It shouldnt hurt the jet but might leave some silt in the motor and water pump
