I HAVE A HOLLY DOUBLE PUMPER 650CFM WITH MECHANICAL SECONDARIES. MY ENGINE IS A 454 BORED .30 OVER. IS THIS ENOUGH CARB? CAN I RE JET IT TO RUN BETTER WITHOUT BUYING A NEW CARB? MY INTAKE IS A TORKER 2. WHAT DO I NEED TO RUN GOOD? I AM NOT DRAG RACING JUST LOOKING TO HAVE A GOOD SET UP THAT IS RELIABLE.

The perfect RPM for a 650 carb on a 454 is 5,000. It should be OK up to about 6,000 RPM

Just for info, If the carb has vacum secondaries it is not a double pumper, But only a Vacum secondary. Just for info not Hammering you. You should also have a good cam that matches the carb and Intake. Intake especially. They all work in conjunction with eachother.

I agree for up to 5k not a problem.add . a cam intake headers, comp then might need more for over 5k.imo this is where people think bigger is better not the case its proper matching with parts.
