Give me a break, you DCB Cheerleaders are never going to learn. The throttles are suppose to be in the middle of the boat so a throttle man can run the boat. Duuh!!! Ooh yeah I forgot DCB's are Blinged out lake boats.
Tucked away throttles, that just another west coast screw up, to small of beams to put the shit where it really belongs!!
By the way trees grow on land and are not designed to be made into plywood and placed in the water. When he's running Balsa & Foam Cores, and laying up his boats with Kevlar, Carbon Fiber, & S-Glass combined with a Vacum Bagged Epoxy Resin layup, come talk to me. Until then, you just keep paying more for less!!!!! :D

I guess the only good thing is she's getting a full body massage (polishing compound), and she's looking better all the time. Gives me time to do some detail work I guess.

A set of props and a little tune up and she will be good to go!

The Agitator belongs to a local buddy of mine. It's got crash boxes and #5's so the long haul is not a concern......its just not a lot of fun around the docks! He runs 3 blade props and turns 7500...the thing pulls like a freight train even starting @125.

There was a 36' from Lexington with 950 Chiefs and dry sump #6's that ran 140. There is also a 30' from north of here that runs 130 with carbed 502 whipple motors. Those are the fastest I've heard of respectively.
Any 36' I've ever seen porposes like crazy, I ran almost an entire poker run with a 36' that had 500's in it an it seemed to never stop hopping.

I remember yours when you had it for sale, very nice boat. You sold it right??? Since Im the first 29' with beaters I'm still testing. Need to raise motors again and different props. I've hit 82 mph but I'm not in the ROM range it calls for. All said and done I expect 90mph maybe 95mph if I eat a few more salads....... :)

There was a 36' from Lexington with 950 Chiefs and dry sump #6's that ran 140. There is also a 30' from north of here that runs 130 with carbed 502 whipple motors. Those are the fastest I've heard of respectively.
Any 36' I've ever seen porposes like crazy, I ran almost an entire poker run with a 36' that had 500's in it an it seemed to never stop hopping.

I went for a ride in 3DO's boat and behind the break water it was running 130mph (GPS) with 6 people in the boat, with over 1/2 tanks in it and geared up for a day on the lake.. (coolers, booze, and all the other B.S.) It's only running Teague 800's if memory serves?
Now the amazing thing to me is, the throttles weren't wide open, I couldn't see the tachs (wind in the back seat) but I could see the sticks pretty well, the motors sounded like they had alot more in em?? His boat is propped primarily for accelleration as it sits, but I'd bet that thing would run in the mid to high 130's as it sits doing the whole light tanks two passenger dealio.. and I'd bet it'd run in the real high 130's to low to mid 140's with a bigger set of wheels on it and some room to stretch it's legs?
Incidentally, I should say that my big offshore cat experience is pretty limited.. but I will disagree with the above post with regards to a 36 Spectre porpousing, becuase I was sitting in that one at 130 at that focker was flat as a pan cake. One of the most impressive rides I've ever been in actually..

Mines got Bravo XR's & Sport Master Shorties. My boat porpoises between 55-60 and up to 80-85 the more weight in the boat the higher those numbers can go. It's a normal transtion which takes place on most true tunnel hulls (no centerpod) There's just not enough air under the boat to hold her up. She starts to lift, releases the air out the rear and falls flat on her face. The porpoise can be reduced to a minimal using the tunnel tab, it all comes down to set-up and the driver behind the sticks.
