I just installed a set of Deaver 6" taller springs on my truck a month ago. They have more leaves than the stock and ride a lot nicer. I think I paid under $500 for the set. Call Deaver and talk with Scott 714-542-3703, let him know what you are looking for and they will custom build you a set and in my opinion the best springs around.

National Spring is the best out there IMO. They really know what they are doing.

Just talk to Deaver and they said that there spring would sag real bad with the weight i am going to put on it. So maybe i will try National, or just say screw it and bag the rear!!!

I just put in airbags also. $200 for the bags and $300 for compressor and tank. I like the bags because I can adjust the load capacity up and down so I don't get beat up when empty or not towing.

Hey Sigepmock,
What brand of Bags and setup did you get? Where did you get them? I want to get that for my truck as well.

I used the Air Lift kit. I used the Heavy Duty 5000lb bags and one of their Quick Shot kits, it came with a HD compressor, single in cab guage and control switch, a two gallon tank, an external hook-up and a 20 foot coiling hose with an air chuck. I wanted the ability to air up large tires that's why I got the tank. Thay have a smaller compressor with out a tank that is a lot cheaper. The best prices I found were at SummitRacing.com. I went to the Air Lift web site got the part numbers and then entered them in the summit part search. Bags took about 2 hours to install and the compressor about three hours but most of that was just trying to figure out were to mount everything and where to run the lines.

Sounds good! Do you by chance still have the part #'s that you used? That is the same type of setup that i would like to do to my truck as well.
Thanks again,
Chuck.,

Did this come with the gauges too?

The compressor/tank kit came with one guage and one control switch and everything needed. The only thing I did different was add a manual on/off switch switch for the compressor, it comes with a pressure switch that shuts off at 130 to 140psi but I wanted to be able to shut it off whenever not needed. I'll see if I can get some pics.

here's the pics..
The guage didn't turn out as nice as I wanted, I got a little rushed. I think I'll pull it out and re paint the face plate.

Hey Chris who made the brackets to adapt for the lift on your truck?

EZ-Ride they were about $50 for the 4" airbag spacer.
EZ Ride (http://www.ezrideconcepts.com/index.html)
They weren't the highest quality parts but they worked. I had to re-tap one of the holes because it had welding splatter in it and also two bolts that came with kit didn't work with the Air Lift bags but it was still easier than building some myself.

If you buy Nationals you will wish you still had your stock springs and blocks. The Deaver springs are made of 100% US steel, they use a thiner spring but a thicker spring pack. National has been around for long time and used to be the only game in town but I have friends that have the Nationals on their trucks and they all wish they rode as nice as my Deaver springs. If your hauling a heavy load put the air bags on and you should'nt have a problem with Deavers and they should warranty them for life.

What does a set of Deavers run for a truck with an 8" lift on it?

I called and spoke to Scott at Deaver three times before purchasing a set and each time they got a little cheaper. I would call him and just ask for the best price possible. I paid around $500 out the door for a 4" lifted set.
