Does anyone here have a connection or reccommend a tire/wheel shop? I am looking to put a set of 16x8 wheels (Welds or Helo) with a 285/75/16 tires on my 2004 GMC 2500HD (4x4, crewcab, diesel) I am not lifting the truck, I do have the torsion bars cranked up for the clearance.
What do you have on your truck? I want to know what looks great. I don't want mudders for tires also. Please post pics if you have them.
Thanks,
Gerard

What's up Gerard...Call Derek or Jason at Rancho Motorsports ((909) 390-9722). Tell that that HavaTan (Michael & Taylor) referred you. They are really good guys over there. They are of Jurupa & 15.
Good Luck

I really like the Helo HE791 MAXX8 wheel
But I'm not sure what size wheel/tire I want. I thought 18' would be "too big", but after seeing Eliminator 4 Life's truck pics, it looks prety nice.

Gerard if you got the cash I would get the chrome it is worth it in the long run. The Velocity 8s are nice but they were 1k more then the wheels I got now so I just went with these. SInce you got a gmc Ill send you a picture of my grill.

I appreciate it. The Diamo 8 Karat is a nice wheel. I was going to put that wheel on my Excursion, then traded it in for my current truck.

I second Rancho Motorsports. Jason is the owner and a great guy. What ever price he gives you tell him Chris Mock found it cheaper online and you want him to match the price(inside joke) but it might get you a little better deal.

ELim 4 life, How hard was it too crank up your torsion Bars? Did it change your ride at all? I've been considering buying some 285's for my truck but am hesitant if it is going to change the ride quality...

I feel it changed my ride and its a lil stiffer and its kinda hoppy when I go over speed bumbs. But I like the way it looks so until I can get my lift it will be like this.

Nobody can beat Tucker Tire. Their in Laguna Niguel. He'll even give you a decent trade for the Stock Wheels. I've been dealing with them since 1990.
Whatever price they give you, it's an out-the door price. If he says $500 for tires that what it is. You don't drive down there and it turns into $650 for all the BS charges.
Talk to John (owner) or his son Brad.

I was kinda curious on the torsion bar issue myself. Those of you that have cranked yours up how does it ride? Also how much lift are you getting out of it. The only thing I don't like about it is it changes your front drive axle alignment. That can possibly cause those front CV's to fail early.

Interesting, they ride like shit, had mince all the way up and hated it, had it lowered back down and the ride is fine.
Do they rub
only under hard turns and braking combined........

Grand Prix on Newport Blvd in Costa Mesa/Newport Beach (just past Triangel Square at end of the 55 Fwy on the left) absolutley has the best selection of wheels and tires in Orange County.

Your truck looks level in the picture you posted. How did you get it that way if you didnt crank the T-Bars?
