Probably a 23" Revolution 4, that is the standard prop from Shockwave with the 496HO package :D

It sure seems like a lot of us looking for a labbed 24. Maybe we should call a shop and ask for deal if we order about 5.

If the price is right, I'd really like to get one too. I have a 26 that may be a bit much.

Check w/ Bronson Hill Props in Santa Ana. They may be able to work on yours to get what you want out of it. Joel can work wonders with a prop.
You tell Joel what you want and he'll modify it just right of you. I needed 150 more RPM out of my 23P mirage and I got exactly that and a 5 MPH bonus.
The tweek and lab finish runs $150 and about a 1 week turn-around. Best $150 I have ever spent on my boat.

I've got the 3 blade 23 mirage on my boat and it is definately not enough. The hole shot kinda sucks with the 3 blade but on the big end I run out of prop. Thats why I want to step up to the 4 blade 24

It won't be all fun. I have to go finish that mess I started last time we were there. :yuk: And I'm tired! Got to bed around 4am...again, and then had to be at Bear Mtn all day. Got home at 6pm, packed up, and now we are out! :boxed:

That's cause your in a cat and he's in a V......
If he's got a 496 or so, a 24P would be about right.......
I use to run a 22P in mine with a 496 MAG HO.....
I run a 28P now and almost a 30P in the winter....

Not exactly true. I have a 26.5P labbed 4-blade on my Ultra 246 with a 496HO. I run it at about 5000-5100 rpm too.

In the summer ????
I am amazed you can turn that prop at that RPM in the summer with 425 HP....
Your boat must be some what light then.....
I'm about 6000 lbs including fuel, people & crap and I turn the 28P at about 6,000 RPM.....

Shaken,
my boat is about 3200 lbs. That explains some of the speed huh? I didnt believe the speeds either on the speedo, but I confirmed it was only 2 mph off with my GPS.
BTW, a labbed 26P, Bravo 4-blade will cost at least $700 brand new. $500 for the prop, and at least $200 for a good labbed job. Labbed and blueprinted will run about $350.

If spinning a stock 24p Bravo 1 four blade puts you right in the rpm range you want to be, would spinning a labbed 24p increase your rpm's too much? If so would moving up to a labbed 26p be what you would want to do, or what that be too much prop? And, in most peoples opinion, would the gains vs. the cost of a labbed prop really be woth it?

Labbing your prop should give you an extra 200-300 rpm and a couple of MPH. But, that will only happen if the work is done right. I know that I have never heard anything bad about York propellers. Tell them your dilema and they will help. I have heard that the lab jobs coming from Bronson/Hill have either done nothing or hurt the performance. Just my 2 cents.
If you are spinning a 24P at the right rpms, a labbed 26P will be way too steep. Try a 5 blade 25P with a smaller diameter. That might do the trick.

Frenchie. Like I posted before. Bravo 4-blades will be $500 out of the box new, and a good lab job will cost a minimum of about $200.
