hey folks--what is the method used in determining what style shoe to purschase or is it trial and error---three styles .05 taper--flat--2deg. backcut. how do you tell if its wrong or right..thanks

The best suggestion I could offer is to contact one of the pro's.
I was told by Jack (MPD) the back-cut shoe that he also supplied when he sent back my intake from his machining process was what my 21 Daytona needed.

MADDOG IT DEPENDS ALOT ON WHAT KIND OF POWER YOU HAVE,WHAT HULL YOU HAVE. AND JUST PLAIN WHAT YOUR BOAT WANTS. SOME DO WELL WITH BACK CUT, SOME DON'T NOTICE ANYTHING. PROPER SETUP IS THE KEY. START WITH A FLAT AND MAKE SOME SHIMS, AND EXPERIMENT.
