Been gone from the boards for a while, getting some business done so I can play harder this summer. Did I miss anything? LOL! Particularly for those of you that expressed an interest in buying my boat......here is what it looks like now.
Any one still interested??

That's your old boat? Or is that the result of the sale of your old boat in the form of a new boat? If a tree falls in the forest and nobody................

Used to be this one. It was born "No Doubt" in all white, then I painted it and it became "No Doubt Still", Now its getting a bigger motor, a new interrior and a few more alterations in order to become "No Doubt, again!" :hammer2:

Yeah, no more sitting on two throw life savers! I think anyway. Never even got to driver 'er.
What I am VERY pleased with at this point is that everything I envisioned for comfort and fun and performance to enhance the Cheetah deck boat has come out EXTREMELY well as handled by Randy and Al and Diane. (still some minor bugs) It was SO comfortable sitting out there relaxing in the middle of the lake waiting for a tow this afternoon. Sad to say, the motor needs to be torn apart I think. Maybe not, I'll know tommorrow IF Chris puts my boat on the front burner now as requested. Been waiting long enough, time for some priority treatment I feel.

And this is how it looked after we got it towed in and roped back onto the trailer!
The only thing missing was Tom running back and forth up the ramp to get shite for me from the tow vehicle!

OK Rick what gives???
I know you Dyno tested the motor before they dropped it in right???
So what went wrong????
I need to know. LOL

Notice the name on the seat ... If it would have said "cheetah" all would be fine I am sure....... :D I am sorry to see that it broke on the maiden voyage... I guess we wont get to meet up on the water this weekend unless you are on my boat... As HDDs boat is being put back to ythe end of the line again!!!! :hammer2:

I wonder who's system will sound better at the annual regatta
I'm bummed for you that she didn't run as expected, but I'm sure the bugs'll get worked out in short order and you'll be kickin' my ass up and down the lake as usual.

No joke there...even with stuff as minor as Pro-Charger installs or Stearing repairs, things always take longer than expected.

Looks like the super charger decide to come apart! Left over damage from when she broke last fall. Had the mechanic make sure the whipple was okay last November and as far as he could tell, all was ok. But not so after all. :(
Good news appears to be no damage to the motor? All I need is a new set of screws (blower assembly) and I am back in business. Problem is, Whipple will not return my calls but got their secretay to say they have NONE on the shelf and they may be 4-6 weeks out getting one for me. Chris is working with Teague. Teague tells me Whipple tells everyone that but that they may have one tucked away at Whipple they can get shipped today? but....Whipple is out to lunch now after being gone on a water test this morning. Man if I ran my business like that I would loose so much money. How come these peeps can get away with turnig off the cell?? I wanna change businesses! :)
Hopes are fading for getting the part sent today so I can deliver on my 6-month old promise to take my son and his buddies out this weekend for spring break! I'm trying to be patient but too many times I have seen other boats come and go while mine was not being worked on.

I should be out in the morning....
Maybe Steamboat if I get there early and get a beach spot. Otherwise probably wind up in the channel. I don't think I'll see too much of the Spring Break action in Copper, as I'll prob have a 2-yr old on board....then again she's too little to know what's going on
my cell 702-250-6304, doesn't work worth a crap out there though.
Look for the star-spangled banner :D

Can you run it out to Whipple to fix it? My buddy's Whipple started making a lot of noise. We only had a few days before the race, so he ran it down to Whipple at Fresno to fix it (all the way from Seattle!). They tore it down and had it fixed within a day. Even if they do not have full units on the shelf, they may have enough parts to repair yours.

I've just learned I have been black listed by Whipple. Too many calls today apparently by me and others trying to get one shipped today. Thanks for the try though. I would have driven it up there but Dustin's sis would not let me talk to anyone and mean not ANYONE! but her. She IS the person in charge!

One month later.....
So I go Tuesay to pick up the boat which was ready Friday while I was in Laughlin. Go over it, find a list of "not happy with its", but pay the final bill and trust the shop to make it right after the fact. They tow it to the water for me cause I got no tow this week, just the bike. Back it in, take off the work boots, smiling all big and shite......hit the starter...NO JUICE! DEAD BATTERIES! WTF! Turns out the battery switch was left on "all". Back to the shop for an overnight charge and can't pick it up today cause of work. Decide to let them finish the job today and tommorrow and try yet again tommorrow???????Friday??? next month????
To be continued.................. :frown:

The problem is you sound like a whiny BIACH! jk
Minor details...nobody even thought to check the batteries? Isn't that and all fluids being checked very, very basic services to do when you rebuild a boat?
Actually, brand new batteries too....the amps sucked em dry over the weekend with the Perko left on.

04-27-2005, 06:14 PM
I assume they are replacing them with brand new batteries at no cost to you, right?
Well, they are being trickle charged......

nodigg
04-27-2005, 06:28 PM
I thought if you let the batteries go completely dead it can ahrm them Rick
It may be that they can get a memory for there "normal" state so if left dead for a long period of time they stay dead. I am hoping that one time did not hurt them..................
Besides, there are bigger issues to be dealt with at the moment, particulaly the door alignment problem.

Hey 277's, you guys are going to the river this weekend? What, getting bored with Lake Feces (BV)?
J/K, I am mainly jealous. We reserved rooms at the Flamingo (Laughlin) for a month from now. Did the planning late February, so we have been waiting for our first trip out. One more month!
Have fun.

Oh, it's fine. It's nice for spur of the moment jaunts, since it is 17 miles from my house :D . But, some of us locals call it that. It is mainly a holding pond and run-off from irrigated fields. Therefore, it has some "fertilizer" in it. Probably some from the locals, too :jawdrop: .

OH, it's not THAT bad. The bottom stuff is crappy. Don't get it on your upholstery! We had to scrub two spots on our friend Malibu and still left a stain. I don't think anyone could invent a dye that potent! I just make sure I don't touch the bottom (legs crouched). Along the shore is not as bad.
