Do you have to have a two channel amp to power 2 subs???

No, you can use a single channel amp also.
I would think twice about just setting a box in the place of the center console. The King Ranch has a beautiful interior, why not have something made to fit behind the seats in the back?? Or at least have a custom console constructed to match the interior of the truck?

i never use that center console for anything important. i also want to put the amp behind the seats...there is probably less than 4 iches of use behind the seats in the back. then there is not even enough room for 8's underneath the captains chairs. so i thought that was a fairly good looking box and one of the only ways i was going to get two 10's in there.
I have 2 jl audio 10's in my boat with a 500 watt amp...If those subs i want for my car can hold up to 600watts, what's a good amount of power to putting into each of them???

I would give Parker (dave) a call at the shop (909)481-8411. they have done a ton of those trucks and built awesome custom boxes to replace the factory center console that look like ford themselves built it. Maybe if you beg enough he will post a pic of it.

wouldn't a custom box be really expensive????

Depends on two things.
1) how custom do you want it?
2) Whats your definition of expensive?

i found this box that fits right in between the front console and the back console. it only fits one 10" but i think thats good enough for my rock.....they can even get it in tan carpet so it matches.
