Mine just appraised for 250% of what I paid for it 4 years ago. I hope to sell it for at least that much in 18 months.
Note:the gain is only 150%

With improvements, its gone up about 300%. :2purples: Couldn't afford to buy it again, today.....

Houses in SoCal BOOOMED within this past 5 years, it is crazy. I think they are leveling out now.

Bought in 95 for $210K. Just appraised for $710. South OC here. Too bad I been pulling money out all these years for improvments and new boats!

...my grandparents paid $15k for my house in 1967, I bought it for $260k in 2000, and just had an appraisal last week for $750k :messedup:

Good point and don't forget to deduct taxes , insurance, interest rate you have paid over the years and repairs.

So ya made some money on paper??? Well if you cash out where ya guna go? If you buy again anywhere close to you where you used to live how much more are your property taxes going to be? It looks good on paper but what's it going to really do for you? You can borrow against it? What happens if inflation kicks in and you can't afford your payments anymore? :supp:

I made a killing :cool: Sh!t, I'm frickin' rich on paper but unfortunately it's only that...paper. I hope all that equity will be there when I retire :)

Since 98, I have accumulated some 200%+ equity, but I have not made any money.....just paper at this point....actually dirt in Havasu has increased 2.5 fold in just 18 months....Place in Parker, since 2001 has went 300%....all paper money, no more, no less...

Paid 134k im '94 sold for 315k in 'o4. And the X didn't get any of it!

Eventually build...probably a couple years off or maybe more....plan to keep Parker and maybe build more a retirement place in Havasu...just can't see building now when I like hanging at Parker more...and don't like the idea of renting at this point.

So was it pretty muddy from all the run off.....South Havasu near the Springs looks the same way...

So tired of it, I should have at the least gotten some dirt when D bought his house...we have been so bummed on it, that BHC is looking to be the place for us now.

That is when I bought it...when Den went looking at homes up there.....I would like do something with Duplexes up there this year...

The same thing that happens to you when you have a heart attack. :messedup: We bought a few years ago and our little investment has done quite well, thank you.
