OK, here is the real story. It was part of a redneck divorce settlement. :D
Dear Fred,
My wife and I have divorced and in the divorce settlement she was awarded the double wide mobile home and the pickup truck. As per my copy of the court order, I delivered the truck before 2 PM, yesterday!

You can tell by the 20" rims, it was only a half ton. Obviously a rookie or he woulda gotten the Cummin's diesel.
