Was this 3 heads, or 3 sets?
If 3 heads, why 3 heads & not 4, an even set.

Lost a head gasket on one motor and damaged that head. So I decided to upgrade the heads instead of simply replace the one damaged head. Thus I have 3 heads for sale.

Do you still have the damaged head?

Do you still have the damaged head?
Yes I do. It is not repairable as there is a perosity problem. However, the parts on it are good, valves, springs, guide plates....

OK All,
I now also have 2 sets of Hydraulic Roller Lifters for sale, gauranteed in perfect shape. approx 25 hours on them. I will make someone a hell of a deal on these if they buy the heads!
Reason for sale; I switched to a solid roller

Mr. Big Johnson,
What are you wanting to accomplish with all this motor work? The reason I ask is because I was debating about doing the same type of things to my boat, I have about 80hrs on my 572's and I have never taken the valve covers off (Hydraulic), but I sort of wanted more power (I currently make 950 at 5000 rpm) maybe 1100 at 5000 rpm, but I dont feel that the money spent will be worth it.
Just wondering,
Rick

Hi Rick,
I am looking to add about 100 HP to each motor at current boost levels. I could add more boost but then could not run pump gas.
The heads I am upgrading to flow over 40 CFM more then the prior heads at lifts of .500 and .600. This should pick up each motor close to 50 HP
Switching from hydraulic roller to solid roller will add a minimum of 40 HP per motor according to Comp Cams and confirmed by other sources
Hope this helps you. The motors will be done in 2 weeks and I will let you know the results if you like.

I would be very interested to find out the results.
Tom at Pro-Marine just tore my motors down and is changing the cam, still hydraulic, and he feels he can make around 70hp more per side in the rpm range that I am looking for (5500).
I too want to stay with pump and/or AV Gas.
I look forward to hearing the results.
Rick
