Algernon. We had a dog when I was a little kid named Algernon. We called her Alge for shot. I don't remember much about her, only that she growled at me every time I got near her...reminded me of the dragon Spot on the Munsters, under the stairs...
Just remember Dogs react better to single syllable names than long fancy names.

Bring her home and watch her for a little while. I bet she picks her own name. Our female was called baby green by the breeder due to the colored ribbon she was given at birth to identify each pup. She also had very green eyes as a pup.
We brought her home and once outside in the yard she ran to a sage bush, rolled around and rubbed herself on it with alot of enthusiasm.
My wife brought her back inside and told me about it. The pup smelled of sage for several days and so it seemed only natural that baby green became our "Sage"

Sage is a year old now and we just got a male who is ten weeks old. The breeders little girl gave all the pups disney character names. She named our pup Baloo (the bear in jungle book) and his brothers Terk, Lilo, Stitch ect.
My male I lost last year to cancer was named Eber and I called him bear and it seemed to fit to keep the little guys name "Baloo" to keep the bear names in the family.
