I don't think it will any more competitive than what is currently out there.....it is always a risk to step outside your specialty...they should stick to cable..

Here you go:
BRISBANE, Calif., January 6, 2005 – Monster Mobile®, a division of Monster Cable Products, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of high-end speaker, audio, video, computer cables and accessories, as well as AC power conditioning products, introduces Monster Marine — a full line of accessories designed specifically for marine audio applications. Audio interconnects, video interconnects, speaker cable and power cable round out Monster’s latest product offering.
“The marine market is booming but we are finding that boat manufacturers and retailers are still using low-grade accessories and components for the installed marine audio and video systems, and consumers don’t realize that they have a choice for a better product,” explained The Head Monster, Noel Lee. “Just as in car audio applications, marine-specific accessories are vital for the performance of a boat’s audio and video system and installing the proper cable will make a world of difference from the stock system they already have. That’s where Monster Marine comes in. Now, retailers have a way of increasing their product offerings for their customers and customers can now have an entertainment system worthy of the time, cost and effort they’ve laid out for their boat.”
Monster Marine products utilize specific key features for use in aquatic environments.

· Copper strandings on Power and Speaker cables have been “tinned” to prevent oxidation and corrosion
· Speaker wire is CL3 rated for in-wall installation in cabin interiors
