Earlier in the year I saw Nick Barron in the audience. Didn't watch long enough to see if he won any bids. What's is cost to get in that place anyway? I want so badly to go some time. :frown:

Yesterday it was $40, of course with that you don't get right in front to the bidders area. That's about $350, plus you have to have verified funds available from your bank. IMO, B/J has out grown Westworld. It's crowded, traffic in and out sucks big time. They had to turn away 400 sale cars because of space. There are a few grandstands in the back for the common guy, but most of the day there aren't any seats open. Parking isn't much better. It's still fun, but I'd like to see it moved to Glendale Arena next year. How cool would it be to use ethe arena for the auction, lots of primes seats, video screens, and the huge asphaullt parking lot for the tents! That rumour was floating around yesterday. I'll have a bunch of pictures up later today.

Nothing in this years auction should come close. That Old's F-88 concept is a museum piece. Let's face it, I believe it is one of the few concept cars Earl designed that exists today. It stands along as a piece of american car history. Most are crushed, how that one was saved is a miracle.
The dude that purchased it said he was from that Colorado museum. He was in tears. That car is just unimaginable, an Earl concept car!
Sounds like that place is really out to aquire some top notch vehicles for display.

Jail, what up with that
His Shop was raided by CHP, Local Police, DMV Investigators. They where looking for Possible Vechicle Fraud, and that he was possibly illegally Registering Custom Vechicles.. From what I read, nothing was found to be improper and no charges filed.. ;)

We went yesterday and it 50 each to get in  Way crouded but it was fun. I was amazed at the walk down memory lane it took me on. The high school parties and the racing that went on in some of my friends cars! There were challengers and super bees and camaros and chevelles, and mustangs some of which were as nice as what was at the show. Too bad all of those ended up crashed! It was fun!

The three million dollar Olds will be on display with 31 other classics at the Gateway Auto Museum. The facility is underconstruction. Gateway is next to the Utah border and about 70 miles southwest of Grand Junction, CO.
Sounds like an interesting place, and as I recall America West flys to Grand Junction from Phoenix.

I was watching the 2 guys going at it yesterday over the Cuda ($300,000), I thought... Man that guy looks familiar.... Well.... sure enough the guy that didn't get the bid on the Cuda and later the $3,000,000 Concept Olds was a guy for the Nooga. Owns a Check Cashing Fanchise. :p Go fugure
