I only have these two pictures now, and yes it is in Va. I might be able to get more pictures in a few days. The boat is about a one hour drive from me. I'd like to make a project out of it too, but I don't seem to be able to find the time. Are you guys familiar with this particular hull?
Oh, the boat is a 73 instead of a 72 like I posted.

I am somewhat familiar with GN style hulls. I do know one thing, the motor is in the wrong way on that thing. Most GN's drive off the front of the motor and the motor is usually pushed up further. I like this one though cause it has a tranny and it looks like you could get some interior in it.

I do believe that's the boat Rush made his from, it has the same bottom but he made his own deck, it has a very shallow v but it is a badass boat!..

I believe you're right Art . It does have a shallow V. I talked to Rush some years ago and he didn't deny that he started with a 20' Howard. My buddie that owns the boat also has a Daycruiser with the same hull , but with a cruiser deck. It's the yellow and white one I have posted in the image center.
I talked to Ray tonight and he said he would try to get some more pictures.

So what exactly does this thing need? Cosmetic work? Besides motor what does it need to run?

VD CRUISER
02-02-2005, 05:32 PM
To run: motor, exhaust, and prop. Call Ray,(757-599-0317), for the particulars. Cosmetics : it has some screw holes here and there, from a previous owner, that are no longer being used, also you probably would want to paint it. The hull, deck and stringers are solid. We are going to try and get some more pictures in a few days.
