Rvrpig,
I have another question.
I heard that they had built some more rock jetties
on the beaches just south of the outlet from Needles Marina. Is this true?
If it is did the local paper give any reason? It did not ever look like there was any kind of erosion going on there. It would seem to me that by keeping the flow focused to the center it would increase the speed of the current.

Holly moley! What their plan out there? It would be cool if they built something like the keys in parker except with campsites. There is a lot of empty space they could use at the old ATV area.

the closest youl get to the keys with camp sights is the Needles Marina Park. This is phase one and not sure when phase two will begin

4day!!

I just hope they can get some water up in there now.
Last year we had to have someone sit on the bow to raise the back up and two people lift and shove to get it to the ramp.

If you go to Needles Marina keep drive on that road pass it and the road deadends into Jack Smith. Sorry can't remember the name of that street right now.

$5 a day from about the beginning of May to the last day in August. They had sold year pass for $30 int he past but not sure about it now.
They will be digging the bay deeper...but that will be the last thing done. The launch ramp will be 4 lane not 2. I am just hopeing that they use curbs between the lanes so that people can only take up so much space. No idiots backing up across the whole ramp. If ya cant back it down the ramp then ya should not own it. :boxingguy :lightsabe :lightsabe

The Cali Dept of Boating & Waterways approved $1.6MM in grants for Jack Smith.
Phase II - Dredge, contruct new four-lane boat launching ramp, install two new boarding floats, construct new paved parking area, widen access road, construct new restroom, add fish-cleaning station, boat washdown area, rock slope protection, utilities, lighting, shade structures, landscaping/irrigation, and signs.
At the dead-end of River Road. Nice grassy/shaded day-use area.
