Well today my grandfather passed away. I just wanted to dedicate a thread to him. He will be missed. I am thinking of really redoing the boat and dedicating it to him. He helped out whenever he could, if there was a problem that we couldnt fix he was the first to offer some money. A few of you might have met him out at the Lake, just an all around joking guy. He is now with his true love and resting peacefully. It was great we all got a day to hang out yesterday and say goodbyes, not many people get that opportunity.
I will be sure to tip back some budweisers for you.
This ones for you gramps...

Well done, Don. So glad you could have those moments yesterday. I remember the first time I saw that photo, thinking that four generations of boaters was very cool......
May he rest easy.

Thank you all so much. To be honest I have not cried since all of this, I was holding back tears while typing this. Looking at that pic makes me hurt, his friend said that day on the boat he called him and told him how much fun he had. Although he was ill, he felt he had met some good people from these boards. I am deeply hurt right now and in shock, when I break down I am going to break down, but it needs to come out. Thank you all so much. He went in peace and is in a better place, with my grandmother. :frown:

To see the way he still got around was just an amazing to the family and myself. I've reflected on dinner and how everyone was worried that he wouldn't make it to Christmas, and I kept telling you to have faith. Bro, he did make it, and then some. Cherish the good memories of him, and know he's watching over you and yours.

My grandfather was the most important man in my life. I lost him eight years ago next month and miss him every day.
I feel your pain Montzsta! Losing close family members sucks!
Are you related to the Montz brothers from Our Gang Vans?
