Most likely a 22-250 , 25-06 or 223 with about a 55gr.hp bullet :D
Maybe even the new Ruger .204 ??

Drivin' through the panhandle of Oklahoma last November, we saw acres and acres of colonies of the little bas turds. I remember thinking, "Boy, I'm glad that's not my property! " They had taken over. The only way to get rid of them would have been to bomb them, fill the crater and start over.

I think those were with a .223 There was a clip on the website with a 22-250 and it kinda just flopped 'em over.

Yep, one of the reasons I bought my AR-15 HBAR.
Back in Colorado we would go all the time, but plague has really cut the numbers of prarie dogs in recent years. Not to worry though, their numbers will return strong as ever... more target practice.

I have. Lots of fun. Those guys are using .223's. I ususally use my .17 HMR. Does the same thing to them within 100 yds. Anything over 100 yds.doesn't produce that much damage. But with the .223 it will destroy them even out to 300+ yds. :D

Q: What kind of firearms were used?
A: Three rifles were used.
1) Savage Model 110 FP in .223
2) Savage Model 12 FV in .22 - 250
3) New England Firearms Sportster in .17 HMR
These rifles along with the optics and load combinations are highlighted in the video.

.223 hollow point drilled out and filled with a drop of Mercury , & sealed with wax will almost vaporize a Jackrabbit :skull:

Do you think one of those things would make a good pet?

Get a komodo dragon instead, Dave.
Seriously Dave... they're vermin. I know everything has it's place in the circle of life but I can't imagine someone wanting one as a pet. Of course, I can't imagine someone wanting an alligator as a pet, either.

I'm sure Neva would love one to play with. I think she could use a little friend.
I don't hunt anymore, lost the taste for it, but it's definitely not hurting the population at all.
I've got a funny story about someone that moved to Wisconsin and couldn't understand how the hunters could kill deer. They're such beautiful animals. I'll try to find it.
