460 with c9ve heads, have the 5/16 guide plates. Stock valves. what I need is a hardened set of pushrods and some stock rockers. I am using a cam just above stock and building for reliability. I noticed the pushrods come in diffferent lenghts and want to get the right ones. I would like to order through Jegs. Anyone have some numbers for me? thx.....

spectra77,I've changed the 5/16 plates to the 3/8 from FoMoCo . Part #M-6566-E429 ,pushrod # M-6565-N460.Length 8.725 versa stock which is 8.55. Also I run the 7/16 rocker studs for better strength versa the 3/8 positive studs.Stud part # M-6527-C311. This setup is great with Speedpro 1.73 ratio full roller rockers. You'll need a taller valve cover than stock to accomodate valve lift over 500.

thx for the help. I have a set of 454 rockers that fit my studs. I would like to use the boat some this season. Would they work for now then I could upgrade later?

They will work fine ,only slightly less lift, hardly noticable.BTW, what kind of planes you fly?

150, 172 and Hawk ultralight. Always into the models and decided it was time for me to have some fun instead of the plane..hehe, Do you fly?

I don't fly myself, but a friend of mine has a 182 now ,he buys and fixes them [every year he has a different one it seems].The Pitt Meadows airport is just a few minutes from my place where he owns a bunch of hangars that he rents out.Another buddy of mine rents one of his hangars ,where he's building a Glassair kitplane with a 185 HP Lycoming [he's a perfectionist ,so it seems to take forever].My brother was an airforce pilot when I was a kid,and I was crazy about planes then, but my interest shifted towards boats.I like flying with my friend ,since the scenery is breathtaking in British Columbia.

That is beautiful country. I live near Dallas, not much here. You should look into getting your ticket. Cost me about 2500, took 6 months and you pay as you go. Not bad.
