Man, went to the boatshow friday night and they had some high end shit there. Specifically I wanted to see that Orion, and its sweet. But I think I better save for a few years!
Anyways, I was thinking of getting another jetboat to hold me over this season and maybe another. I'm looking at a bigger boat than my last 19' Commander. Right now I'm looking at a 21' Sanger, and a 22' Hallet. Both are big blocks, and both are in about the same condition(sweet).
What is a better make of boat? The Sanger or the Hallet? Or is it a matter of preference. Oh- both were built in the 80's.

What Hallett hull are you talking about???? I would say that the Hallett would have a better resale value that's for sure. If the Hallett is a Vector, that's a nice hull. But if I'm not mistaken, the Vector is a 21'.

Found this boat at the local boat liquidator's, have looked at it and other than the gel (or paint, not sure which) being a little faded it's a sweet boat. It's located in Tacoma, Wa. and I'm sure they would come down a little to make a cash sale.
1977 24' Hawaiian Daycruiser Cuddy, rebuilt 460 Ford and rebuilt Berkley, new upholstry, full canvas, tandem trailer, looks and runs great. Reduced to $8000.00 Pictures

Josh,
By and large, Hallet makes a pretty damn nice boat. A year and model, or better yet a pick of both boats would really help out. Nothin against the sanger, but (and someone can correct me if I'm wrong) by the 80s I think that you'd probably be better off with Hallet construction than the Sanger... and then there is the resale value issue as well. Get up some pics and you'll get plenty of opinions.

Rexone had a beautiful Vector for sale, I don't know if it's still available though. Let me see if I can find the link.
Here it is:

Tahiti
That is a lot of boat for having a jet drive.
It will be slow and it will use a lot of fuel.

Never said it was a good deal, just posting what I saw. When I posted the pic's I thought the tire mark was a water trail, now I'm not sure. I know they moved it from Seattle to Tacoma, about 50 miles m/l. I know they are willing to negotiate prices, but not sure they would take off a zero.
