Hey Jeff.... I don't know where that came from, found it parked out by the road. I still have a little left on the red boat and I'll get back to some figures on yours. I got your oil pan stripped, but couldn't get all the old paint off, so I'm going to go ahead and prep it and repaint it. Most of the paint was flaking off and I was hoping I could blast it all off with a pressure washer and leave it the with the irridited finish that it came with.

Hi Liberator........ Those are 345's ,I believe. I've run a couple of sets of them on some lake boats and 1 set on a bracket car. For the money, they were decent. I think they went out of business, though. If I were looking to buy some heads right now, I would probably go with the Pro 1's or AFR's. They are hard to beat ,out of the box.

As for the question, why spend the money on a TX. Why not. I still believe they are the best all around jet boat hulls made. They don't take a lot of power to make them haul, they handle good, and they are roomy and comfortable, and they aren't bad looking boats either. I've had a dozen or so of them and will probably have another one or two.

Hey David......... They are Dart Pro 1's with 345 cc intake runners. Abbott Racing Heads in Crane,Texas does all our head stuff and I buy all my heads through him. He did a killer job on my Brodix 2's on my blown 482 in my Outlaw Top Sportsman car. not to mention the Big Duke's on our 632 in our Top Sportsman car. .............. Were those heads untouched out of the box? Were they Pro Topline's, Pro 1's, or what? The best I've seen any of those heads flow out of the box is in the 380 range, unless they were CNC ported from the manufacturer. There are very few heads out there that will come , out of the box and untouched, that will flow 400. Possibly with larger intake valves on a 4.500 bore.

Garry, I have the flow #'s at home and will fax to you next week when I return to work with the Flowbench info. also
They were set up by Randy Curtis / Randy's Performance Shop in C.C.Tx.
he's an Old School Wheelstander/Dragracer that has a shop on the side..

I went and dug up records from when we were testing aluminum heads for the Pro Limited Jet rules change. The best numbers we saw on anything out of the box was on the 345 Pro1's. They were in the high 370 to low 380 range. That was at.750 lift at 7000 Rpm with 28" of water with a 4.375 bore. We could gasket match 1" into the port and bowl blend 3/4" behind the valves. With these legal modifications, we saw low 390's on the good intake runners. The 320 Pro 1's were close which might make more power with the smaller intake runner and about the same flow numbers. The higher velocity usually means more power.

The big pulley is supposed to go on the crank and the small pulley is supposed to go on the blower. looks like you've got it backwards. :D
