I flew over it on our way to Havasu Sat. Looked like it was at 85-90%. A bit of sand on the shores is all. Looked full though.

Not that bad. Most of it it was against the Dam itself. There were pics on here about 2 weeks ago of the lake.

Ok then thanks for the info....off to the lake it is this weekend. I'll be sure to stay out of the water so I don't have to swallow anything back down to where they belong.

Ok...I went on Sat and the water is really muddy. I took a cruise back to the canyons and could not believe how much of the surface area was lost from all the sand that was washed down. With the lake this full, I would guesstimate we lost about 700-1000 feet down the canyon. Anyone that knows Castaic well, here's what I saw. Right after you hit the 5mph buoy, you go straight for a couple of minutes and make a left for a couple hundred feet. Then you make a right. Well when you make a right you now you need to shut her off or you'll be beaching it hard.

I'm a Castaic junkie but haven't been there in 2005 yet.
How has the Police activity been there lately?
Are they still lurking waiting for someone to go 36 MPH?
Kinda sad that you can't go up to relax without nervously
watching over your shoulder for them.
Almost all of us have been "hassled" in one way or another. :angry2:
