I'm thinking about buying a boat just for the Casale v-drive, but I am trying to figure out what kind of drive it is before I go down there. The guy didn't have pictures but he read off some numbers.
He said by the drive/propshaft shaft is 62174 or 82174 and at the top of the drive is 82170. Anyone able to tell me what kind of drive it is based on these numbers?
Also if I get this boat is anyone looking for an early 60's project? :D

Mine is a 10deg. with tappered berrings. #81000-1 on the front case (Shaft side), 81000-2 on the back case.
Don't know if this helps.

So I found out the v-drive is 12 degree, currently I have a 10 degree hemi. How hard of a swap is that?

Fill the stringers, Make new struts & angles, New motor plates or a pretty thick set of shims  . Probably a new collar for the drive cover. Various other smaller stuff to numerous to mention. :lightsabe
Oh.. & since the box is used it should at least be cracked to to take a look inside. Mine required a complete rebuild, that Jim Anderson is a hack. :rollside:
