What does everyone run for Bearing/ Piston to Wall/ Ring end gap ETC. And what do you think the differences are between a car motor and a boat motor?
Just Wondering BK

My ring gaps are wider just for the N20 but just wanted to know what other people are running. I recently took apart a so called marine motor that I felt that the clearances where questionable.

I run an extra .002 piston to cyl wall.
.003 mains and .0027 rods.
Ring gaps per the ring mfg specs.

I am working on the ring gap issue currently, It is based on what type of motor you are building (i.e induction, fuel, etc) follow the manufacturers recomendations that come with pistons/rings. They give you the calculation with various combinations on the instructions. Example: Bore x 0.60 .
In my apllication for blown gas the top ring will be around .25 to .30 not certain yet tho I am sure it will be around those numbers. Hope this helps...
Drag...hope you mean bore X .006 :D
