Here are some photo's I snapped of Eliminators 25' Daytona that went 144mph. I asked the sales guy how much for this boat, and the price he told me is basically 1000 bucks per mile and hour. Anyways, I sure like the gelcoat on this boat.

That does look really nice! Anyone know who did the rigging on this- Pfaff, Eliminator, Bob himself- it sure looks high quality from the pics! nice pics HBJet!! That engine looks f**king sweet- detail is great and the anodized diamond plate looks killer! All that for a little sum of 144K- what are we all waiting for?

Nice ride. What is the story with that blower? I don't believe I have ever seen a blower like that. It looks like siamese twins (two blowers joined together). I am not a big fan of the way it looks, but then again it did run 144mph.

I like the boats that are going in the mid 100's. What I don't like is that every damn boat has to have gay ass flames on it. Flames are way played out. They were original about 2-3 years ago. Now everybody puts them on everything. FFFFFRRRRRRRRRRTTTTT.

HD,
That is the well known Whipple Quad Rotor...

Thanks. What is the advantage of the quad rotor? Is it some how more efficient? At what point to roots style blowers produce more power than the Quad (ie: 8-71, 10-71, 14-71)? All the drag boats still run traditional style blowers, they must still produce the most power. Just curious. Thanks.

The screw compressor is more efficient then any comparable roots style blower. It also doesn't heat the air charge up as much. A lot of guys still run the roots because of initial costs. NHRA won't even allow these blowers on the fuel cars. They banned them in the mid 80's when people were just starting to play with the PSI screw blower. NHRA was trying to keep speeds in check and they saw this new blower would probably have an effect on that attempt.
Engine shop I used pulled a quad rotor off of a 1300 hp motor and put on a 14-71. Motor lost 150 horsepower.

Interesting. I would think there would be a way to make it look a little better though. It reminds me of the old side by side tunnel rams. Not very purty in my opinion, but it apparently runs like a bat out of hell.

wow thanks for the pics!!! and uh, i think when you run 144mph you could paint it pink with yellow flowers and it'l still be bad azzz!!!

Craig, thanks for the info, very interesting. I like the traditional blower style motors too, but this quad rotor deal it pretty mean looking too. I always thought it would be totally bitchin to have a quad rotor motor in a 21' Daytona with a jet pump, and some over the transom headers. Just different.

Why does Eliminator have to due that ugly ass splater s@#t in the bilge area and on the rams. Lokks like the 80's. Other than that the boat is very nice!!

Cheap molding???? Ive seen the same shit on DCB's, Howards all kinds of boats. Besides that its the owners choice what kind of moldings go on the boat. If you want to see cheap moldings check out what Ultra uses.

Here you go Charly.

Oh, and moldings, I saw the Mach26 with the same molding, and in the back section, it was painted over to match the dark blue/purple gelcoat. Man, one little bump against that and your paint will be chipping away. I was very suprised to see that on a DCB

Hey you guys, don't get me wrong.Nothing wrong with that rubrail on a less expensive boat. But a 100K + boat I would rather se a smooth capjob or polished s/s.Furthermore, a "T" bolted powdercoated rail would be my choice.I'll be cheap on my boat with an aluminum rail with vinyl insert http://free.***boat.net/ubb/wink.gif.But again my boat only cost me a fraction of that eliminator http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Thanks HBjet, I'm picture posting challenged.... Re: the painted rubrail... I have the same issue...DCB painted mine and one lil bump on a dock and yer F*%#.....It looks realy cool... but high maintenance...and not to practical...If I had to do over I'd NOT do it
