I have tried taking privleges away from him but that didn't seem to work. I guess I have to keep trying. I'm glad things worked out for you though

I really dont know what thread to reply on (you got so many) hehe. Hey, we were all kids once. Remember what effected you the most? I do. When I was a kid I was in and out of juvinile hall! My mother gave up on me, and let the state take over! My point, dont give up! I have 3 girls now that I spank all to often. But it keeps them in line. I started from day one though. So it would be hard for you to do that to him. You might get a different reaction then what you expect. Listen, get some toys for you and the kid. I mean dirtbike, RC car or plain, or get him into a prodject with you on the boat or an old classic car! What ever you BOTH share a common interest in is whats gonna work for you! After you establish this its in your hands when you can give or take this away (depending on his attiude). Thats all it takes ( I think ). Good luck though.

UMM does this look like a parenting board to you? I don't think so, and if you are looking for advice on how to disipline a 14 year old well good luck because at that age kids are smart asses. I wouldn't start spanking a boy who is 14 unless you did it before. I don't know these days, I thought spankings were old fashioned but I guess not since parents are spanking kids asses when they are teen agers.

ya, teens are a little old to be spanked in my opinion, but everybody has different views on this, im sure. But hey, a fello boaters asken for some advise, take it EZ. Posts havent picked up as much as last year yet, I think we can spare the bandwidth!
