If its the same boat that was on the Spectra web site, its in Florida
and RD, your right its a BIG project. If you did it RIGHT, I would say you will
have at least $100,000.00 (maybe on the high side) in the boat after it was done.
Good luck to who ever buys it !

I was looking a that thing on the Brent's SpectraMarine site. He's right... for a quarter of the money it would take to bring that thing back you could buy a nice clean one that was cared for its entire life.

JOe,
I did talk to that guy and he told me to come and get it, FREE!
Shit, it would have cost about 3000.00 to 4000.00 to ship it from Fla. to Cal.
I dont need another boat even if it is a Spectra:).
InKahntrol,
Your Dads is about the best (all original Spectra 32 I have seen).
One of these days I will step up and get a nice 32 (already done no projects).

Come on Brent, you know better than that! There's no such thing as an old boat that's "already done, no projects." :p
My dad's boat is very clean, but with twin engines and drives there's always something that needs fixing. We just ripped out and re-did the entire fuel system, because it kept getting air in the lines and didn't like to start. Also installed an engine synchronizer and a GPS speedo, which is super cool. I think next Winter when my Campbell is finished he'd like to have Fiberglass Reformations re-gel the top of the cabin, since the color is going flat. Otherwise it is pretty nice.
How is your 24XS? I think that's one of my all-time favorite boats.

I was looking for another Spectra project but not anything that big, It would be hard to navigate parker with that. and my dock is only 26 feet long so alot of it would stick out into the river.

In 1973 the U.S. Coast Guard used the 18, 20, and 24 to patrol the water ways from the Colorado River to the Pacific Ocean.
Gee. Who woulda' guessed that?

SPECTRABRENT, a guy in my town swears he had a 36' Spectra that was custom ordered by a guy in Michigan with too much money, he has lots of pictures of it and claims they built two of them, he was going to lose it in a divorce so he pulled his 540's & #3 drives out before it was seized, he says it's still up north as far as he knows, have you ever heard about these ?, or is he nutz ?, I can't judge the length by the pictures,

Jason,
If it the same Spectra 32, it belongs to a guy named Mike Stevens.
I spoke with Mike @ Roadrunner about a year or two ago and he owned a boat company called Can Am boats, I think it was around during the late 1970's. Mike also was a big time drag boat racer.
That Spectra 32 is all original and very clean!
