Not to hijack this thread but I feel your pain Rod.
That is the worst part of my business here is not enough good help. My crews are only half of what they should be. And it's getting worse instead of better with all the growth.

Rod can't pay you that much, he already signed a contract with me. I'm what is known as the ramrod, I fix everything that is broken. I have no idea what is entailed in Rod's business or how to perform it's duties, but through triple backtalk and basically lying about my experience and knowledge I convinced him I can make him a millionaire in less than 9 months. In actuality I know crap and don't care about his business and in 8 months Rod will figure this out and ask Me to leave. He will still owe me the 120,000 through contractbut I will already have another job. :p :p :D :D J/K

No, No, No, i have never heard that the SCAQMD is ever going to make anyone smog a diesel, there would be total anarchy and uprising from all the truck drivers.
Actually, for gas engines, starting this year, you will not have to smog any car that is less than 4 years old, no more bi-annual smogging if you have a newer car. I will post the actual wording from DMV later about that.
Now, the question is, do you pay weight fees on that bad boy????
I bet it weighs more than 4000 lbs right???

Yea it weighs more then 4000 pounds and I have never renewed my license yet it is due in August plus the personalized plate fees. Some guy told me they were gonna to that to the diesel trucks :D

DMVQUEEN
02-13-2005, 08:38 PM
Na, they wont make you smog your diesel, I have a 04 F250 SD Diesel, and we got that just so we wouldnt smog it, plus, there is no way that I could see that they could regulate the trucking industry like that, plus all the out of state trucks that come in here.
You will have to look on your renewal notice to see how much in weight fees you will be paying, over 4000 lbs you will probably be paying about $120 in weight fees alone, not including all the other crap they tack on to your bill.
Lets just say there are ways about the weight fees.......................
About the personalized plate, sorry, can't help you there :D
