Ugly Lake Piru Photos 2-12-05

Went up to check out the lake today. It is ugly! Full, but ugly. Lots of debris all over the lake. Its gonna be awhile before the speed limit goes above 10mph.

The Dam and spillway: CHECK OUT THE HIGH WATER MARK ON THE DAM. NO WONDER THEY WERE SH*TING THEIR PANTS WHEN IT FILLED UP! :eek:

Thanks for posting those pics. I grew up in Fillmore, and was curious about Lake Piru. I was out there last January and it was almost empty

It filled in 3 days during the rainstorms. Once Pyramid spilled, it all came into Piru. Fillmore, huh? I have stumbled in that town many times with alot of locals.

Found out from a buddy of mine that saw me up there taking the pics that most of that debris was gathered near the dam until the storm last week. The wind pushed everything to the middle of the lake. Now they expect rain all week. Maybe it will push it all out........
