View Full Version : Leaky gas tanks opens up a can of worms for me!

So one of my tanks was leaking a couple weeks ago, so I decided to pull them 27 yr old tanks and have some new ones made...Oh boy! Then it all started...I had to pull all my interior which I expected...Then I have to pull all my new carpet and Sub-floors out..Not expected...

Some on my driver side Stringer and some on the passenger side under the motor...So now knowing...Lots of changes...Couldnt sell boat knowing! Im gonna fix it..already cut out section...Gonna need to pull motor to get to other section...

Also gonna be adding a Down Pedal, New Carpet, And a New Steel Rudder...Is at Menkens Know getting plated...Oh well at least it will be done right for who ever buys the boat in the future...Will be at Needles for Sale!

I'm still interested. I have been looking at boats for the last two months and haven't found anything that really trips my trigger. I am looking at the twin turbo hallett in the ***boat classifieds. Your in Vegas right? Maybe I could check 'em both out.

I will let you know when it is done...Gonna get the new tanks next week...It will be done before Needles I will have it out there if you are going...Good time for a test run! Talk with Ya Later John...

Talk to brian at tank it in havasu, he does great work
he would do a great job on some new tanks.

Thats who is making them...In Fact they are Done ...Cant pick then up though until next week...He made these one's for my Schiada...He does great work...
