I am having new boat built and I am thinking about putting a keyless ignition in it. Anyone have any feed back on the Mercury Keyless Ignition?

Closest to keyless ignition I have is a toggle and push button. What does Mr T say?

These things have been out for 4 or 5 years that I know of. Is everybody still doing like us and losing keys and dropping them to the bottom of the lake! O well well I guess we'll have to be one of the first to try this out. Have gotten positive responses to the keyless ignition from other forums.....

Numbers 1-0 for your 4 digit code......
"Run" to turn on & "Start" to turn over.....
You don't need to enter your code every time, just to lock out when done.....

Who sells theese, and do they fit in a standard key switch cut out? Pictures please. I've never lost a key, and there are extras on the boat, so I guess i'm not too concerned with security. Any boat can be started with a jumper wire anyway.

I like not having to mess with a key, and having the keychain slap against the gelcoat while driving. My perko switch has a key and I lock it in the off position while I'm away from the boat.

Haven't ever used it, but been wanting to put it in something. Having a new boat built and I figured I would have them put it in before they drill a hole in my console. Ordered mine from BoatFix.com, same quick silver part number as from Mercury Parts Express.

I am wondering if there is any differences in units due to the price differences and different part numbers. I know this is the Mercury part number since I got it from Mercury Parts express and it is the same at Boat
Fix?

ITS ALL GOOD
