LOOKING TO SEE WHAT PLUG # I SHOULD RUN IN BBC? NOT TO HOT OR COLD OF PLUG, SOMETHING IN MIDDLE OF HEAT RANGE. MOTOR IS RUNNING 10.1 COMP W/MILD CAM AND INTAKE AND AFTERMARKET EXHAUST. ANY HELP WUOLD BE GREAT.

First thing anyone would need to know is which type of heads you have. There is a difference in the physical attributes of the plug depending on the head.

I think the iron and alum heads use different reach plugs. Check www.worldcastings.com, (http://www.worldcastings.com,) they have spec sheets on line. Use extended tip plugs if possible. If your heads use the .480 reach plug, I use R42TS (AC Delco) which is a "cold" plug. R43 and R44 are "hotter". Also check www.acdelco.com (http://www.acdelco.com) for lots of good info on plugs.

And if you are running aluminum heads then you might want to run 1 or 2 steps hotter than with iron. Aluminum sucks the heat out of 'em.
