American Turbine is making a 10" impeller sd-312 now. Has anyone had a chance to run it? It seem it would work well with a larger boat 23-24" range if matched with the right HP.

I beleive Ultra has one in one of there 23 decks. I was told it will jump right on plane with a full load but lacks on the top end due to HP.

We make a "AAA" Impeller which no one can turn and a 11 vane bowl you cannot fill except full throttle on 1000 HP or better- if you could, you would see a 5800 GPM pump in a 9" configuration, and thats before we apply our Big Mouth Impeller to the pump in a 9" cut. American Turbine 10" pump is designed for a more commercial application- Big torque lower rpm's.

Pops,
I'm not sure where you get your information. The last 700 or so 312's have gone in PLEASURE boats, using anywhere from a 4.3 V6 to a 640 H.P. 588. The boats are 18 to 24 feet in length. I'm sure the 312 doesn't flow as much as your "big mouth".

Then why do you make it?
