Do you need a water pressure regulator or does a oil cooler work as a regulator?

dah, oil cooler = water pressure regulator?
actually I find that my pcv valve works best.Just plumb the water intake line into the pcv line and then into the carb. When you 'put your foot in it', the excess water pressure goes into the carb and mixes with the fuel. When the mixture is then sucked into the cylinders it has a cooling effect on the combustion chamber thus preventing preignition. This slight modification has the added benefits of a. giving you better fuel milage as you're not going to be using much fuel after this mod. b. lowering your fuel cost for the same reason. c. sterilizing some of the river water that all of these 'bullit drinking' hot boaters have do-do'd in. d. make you one of the first with this innovative new modification.

23, Your oil cooler will not act as a regulator. More of a flow restrictor if anything, but not to the extent of what you are thinking to control pressure. 1st you need to install a WP gauge and see what you are actully getting in the block. W/O any other type of dump, your exhaust is what affects your pressure.
What is the safe max. WP for a 460? 18-20psi????
