What is the going rate of a used v-drive?

I just sold my slpit case 12 degree on ebay and pulled $800.00 for it, I would say it was a little high but then again i bought it used and never had it apart nor did i ever use it. I found a brand new 10degree 3 dog in/out split case for $1350.00 which is a great deal cause a new one is around $2000.00
I have a 10 degree hallcraft slpit case that worked well, but is gonna need rebuilt. You could use it the way that it is and clean it up, but i would toss new bearings in it and shit. Its in pieces get it outta my hair someone ill take $150.00 and it has 16 gears with it in good shape.

Straight cut or helical gear? Bentley can rebuild that box and convert it to accept casale style gears.

For what it's worth I just picked up a Casale 10 deg. split case with mid plate, 18 gears, drive adpt. and coupler for $760.00 on ebay. It was pretty oily/dirty but nothing a little soap and water did not take care of. I pulled it all apart and it looked good but I am still going to install new bearings and have the shafts gundrilled and what not before I put it to use. :D
