What companies are the Best..? Service, Prices, etc.. My Condo was built Brand New in 2004, and was pre-wired for an Alarm system, but at the time I didnt think I needed one, so the Install wasn't complete.. My Girl is home alone alot since I have been in Vegas, and would sleep better if we had an alarm installed.. Bedrooms are on the 3rd floor, and entrance is on the 1st.... any Suggestions..?

This seems to be the best kind of security I have found, People just look at them and run away.

I use Brinks, my neighbor ADP. Both are similar in cost and level of service.
It's a great peace of mind tool.

I've used Brinks for the past ten years in three different houses... always been pleased with the service. They will come out and suggest the best configuration for the layout of your place.

JADTECH in the O.C. has the best price on monitoring. $10 a month!

Your right, she would probably end up blowing the burglar away and then his surviving family members would sue you and probably win! Bastards......... :frown:

Spend a couple hundred and BUY your own system, and then shop the monthly monitoring. Don't get hooked in to the "Big Guys" free install/free system, they'll gouge you on the monitoring price and all the add-ons.

Thats what we did, when we bought our house it cam with an alarm in it. WE checked to see how good it was and realized that EVERY point of entry in the house was on its own zone (even windows that would require a ladder to get into. Then we just called and said we want the monitoring service hooked up tou our existing alarm.
In my parents house, the house in Big Bear and our house at the river all use Brinks.

Dude if your place is wired its a piece of cake. I'm in that line of work. Wheres your place? PM me I dont mind giving you a hand or maybe I can steer you to someone. You dont really want to fall for the old $99 install and get 2 doors a keypad and get jacked on the upgrades then they charge you another 30 or so to monitor and guess what you dont own it.

All great suggestions. The 10 a month place sounds worth looking into because even if you pay for the equipment you will save in the long run. If you truly want a free system check out Millenium Security. They install it and not independant contractors so you can haggle to get extra equipment and it is 100% free. Monitoring is 30 bucks though like everything else. Heres the trick for upgrades... Don't ask for any. Wait for the installer to come who will be by himself and have his truck full of equipment. Make him a cash offer for the extra stuff installed that he can't refuse. You will get a great price on all the extra contacts and he will have some extra money to take care of his family.
