I was hoping to find a good previously owned Mercury Bravo 1, 4 blade 34 (non labbed) but was unable to find one. Who has the best prices on new Bravo 1 props?
RR

Robbie,
look on ebay. I have found several Merc and Hydromotive props. But, the Hydromotives have a larger pitch than the Mercs. For instance, a 32 Hydromotive is equivalent to a 34 Mercury.

a 32 pitch Merc (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=26456&item=4504332639&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V)

a 32 Hydromotive 5 blade (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=26456&item=4528892940&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V) that would run like a 34 Merc.
Careful, these high pitch 5 blades are very hard on drives

Keith ,my son in law is a merc dealer can get at dealer any prop.
OH !! by the way a 34 WILL NOT HELP YOU !!!!!!!.
I had great luck with the Hydromotive five blade it was a 15.5 x 30 that I ran at Parker it ran 141.9 mph at 6500 rpm ratio was 1.22 on my old 4x4 drive.but that prop was stolen when my truck was stolen in Vegas.

Thanks for the replies guys. James, check your email. I sent you my email to send a picture. Does it have the removable hub? Is it the small one or the large hub.
Thor, thanks for the ebay links. Yeah, I would be worried about my drive holding up with the 5 blade.
Wayne, this prop is not going to be for maximum speed runs. I have a lab 34 for that. I just wanted a more robust 34 for cruising around 70 but keeping the RPM down so I can stay on the primary's for half way decent fuel economy.
Thanks again,
Keith

Robbie, didn't get an e-mail and I tried to e-mail you but it didn't work. Sorry I'm not smart enough to post the pics on here or I would! :frown: Try again? It is the standard bravo 1 prop with the removeable hub. Right now I have a solid hub kit in it for a bravo 1. I finally regeared mine to 1.36 and a 32 is the biggest I need. :D
