Nor-Cal lake level.

Here are two pics. I took of Lake Berryessa. The first one on New Years day.1-1-05 and the second one yesterday 2-18-05. hopefully this storm will put the lake at glory hole level. If you have never seen pictures of the lake obove glory hole level it's an awsome site.
New Years Day approx. 10'+- to rim.

Here's one over the rim taken last year. The outside dia. is 72' and tapers down to no less than 28' inside dia. and exits the base of the dam approx. 700' from rim.

Here is a picture you may have seen on the net.It was taken a few years back, The guy was one lucky SOB. The owner of the tow co. that rescued this guy and got him back on the road now works for me. He owned Bowmans towing at the time,he has since sold the buisness do to devorse. Don the owner of Bowmans said he had to lower his boom cable to lift the driver to safety and with the help of his other tow truck they were able to get the truck on the road and the owner was able to drive away. The trailer never came off the ball. the trailers tounge was twisted he said. This happened a couple hundred feet past the glory hole. :hammerhea

never been there and not sure what that is. is it a hole in the lake? for drainage?

It's kinda like a spillway. Won't allow the lake to over fill.
It would be one hellova ride to the bottom too!!!

Everytime I see pictures of the glory hole I get the heebie jeebies. that thing is awesome.

Great pictures Brian. Thanks for the lake level report. I was wondering if Berryessa was full yet. We are looking forward to meeting up with you guys at Berryessa several times for boating events this year.

With all the rain we are getting here in Nor-Cal, Berryessa water level should be at the rim of the glory hole.I'm heading up there today I'll take pictures of the glory hole and post them tonight. :eek:
