you da Man  Avenger made a Flatbottom ? (V-drive) & Chris Craft looks out of place, whatever. After thinking about it last nite it occurred to me the list of builders that made (copied) the Biesemeyer Flatbottom would be pretty long by itself. :rollside: Guess you wouldn't want to take a stab at the Jet Boat List. :D

Add Besotes (sp?) I had never seen one before until the Tahoe wood boat show. Some of the NorCal guys may know of them. I think they may have been based near Sacramento or nearby on the Delta.

My dad listed the following v-drive flat bottoms that were not on the list, he or his buddies ran these on the Mississippi in the 60's and 70's, Rampage, Mantra, Sterling, Racecraft, Anderson, Smokie, Legend, Regatta, Dixie, and Apache. All these are boats from the mid-west mostly around the Quad Cities.

Conquest and buck smith
Buck Smith was Spico.
Howard Brown was very proud of that hot rod mag cover. It was the only issue ever that didn't feature a car on it somewhere.

Very cool boats, those Besotes. Plywood hulls with aluminum frames and they all (for the most part) ran big caddy engines. I was lucky enough to see them every year for several years up at the wood boat show at Tahoe.

Add Spitfire, Lebel, DeFir, Extreme .....
Whats up Don?
The spitfire was a model not a maker as in Kelron "spitfire". Does Ray Defir build his own v-drives? I know he has some Raysoncraft molds.
Lebel is a good one.
Did extreme tool their own boat or is that another splashed runnerbottom?
This was my list last time I updated it. I find new (oldies) in my magazines all the time and need to get caught up. :)
