I know there are quite a few professional detailers that frequent these boards and I wanted to get the pro's opinions. My 9 year old daughter is doing a science fair project right now about which material (towels, leather chamois, the Absorber, diapers, etc.) is best for drying a vehicle/boat and which one absorbs the most water. Which one do you prefer and why?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well....I am only a professional pain in the ass....but I have washed a few cars in my day.. :)
Chamois ...followed by white thick terry towel ..white in color, washed and rinsed twice ...with NO fabric softner...

I Believe he is the expert on detail.
I wash and wax my boat (with Waxing Frenzy). I costs too much to wash the thing. So I will be the one that falls off the ladder. Not the detail guy.

This is a synthetic (man-made) product that works better than anything except having someone else do the drying for you :)
