I'm looking to replace the Old Lavey 21' with a newer and bigger ride. Looking for something with a good 23'+V-hull with a lot of free-board. I have a boat lined up with a seller but want a plan "B" in case it does not pan out. Anybody have anything up there sleeve? BTW, $45k is my max.
Thanks
OL

I would have to say $58 or $59k, as I have the upgraded 496H0, Dana Tabs and Dana Hinges. Also spent some $$ upgrading the trailer lights to LED's and the stereo system is almost another $7k, all high-end JL Audio.
The buyer of this boat could literally run her for the nxt (2) years and sell her for almost what they paid for her today. I will be taking the hit, not the new owner.

Its not the price on your boat its the free-board. I'm looking for something more ilke a Lavey NuEra, Eliminator Eagle, or Shockwave Tremor. The 23' Dana seems like a pretty low-profile boat. I know these are all more $$ but the right deal may come along. There are a ton of boats for sale and they are taking months to sell. Someone has got to be in a hurry sooner or later.
Thanks

Looks and freeboard can sometimes be deceiving. I have been in some pretty dicey conditions in both Havasu and Powell and never once took on water from anywhere on the boat.

Thanks but I am pretty firm on that price cap. $13k more is a big jump.

Thanks. I saw that boat. Too many things I don't want: Was a little too old, too big (we like to ski and wake), closed bow, and its blown. Not sure of the insurance $$ on that.

Oh man Nashville, I love your boat and would take it in a heartbeat for $45k but I know that will never happen. Insurance on that boat has got to be pretty bad in AZ or CA.

If I am not mistaken we are paying under $900 a year still. $45, uh no. As much as your family I would need a tad more than that. I can get you financed for the whole thing if you want....whats an extra $35 a month??
Come on slim...you can do it!!! Who's the boss in that family anyways and why is SHE??? lol....jk.

We (wife and I) started this discussion with, "well, we can spend about $35k and get a decent used boat 21-23 v-hull newer etc". Now its up to $45k and pusing $50 something. I'm not a big time player and like to live as debt-free as possible, so financing a boat goes against my instict. But we may make an exception this time around. I actually found a boat and should have it by the end of next week. I just don't want to jinx the deal so I will keep it quiet for now.
Thanks

Good luck with it. If it falls through you can always fall back on mine and suffer through it. I am in the mood to move mine for the $50's.... as much as I will probably regrett it.

No HO, but oh well...
You might want to check with Whipple as they offer a "reprogram" of your ECM that could kick things up quite a bit and probably get you more than an HO.
