And here in the Seattle/Tacoma area the weather is beautiful. Sunshine and 50's during the day, but colder than a witch's tit at night. Maybe all the Cali peep's should move up here (oh, wait, a lot of them already have.... :notam: )

Everyone pisses and moans about lake levels dropping and drought and we get a little rain and all of a sudden the world is coming to an end :supp:
To bad we can't catch all of this runoff though then we would not worry about water for awhile.

Unfortunately when it falls in southern california, next stop is the pacific ocean... it needs to be in the sierra for northen cal and in the rocky mountains for the colorado river system. But it's been pretty wet everywhere in the west except for the pacific northwest that may bode good things for Powell.

Yeah a few dams along the way with some reservoirs attached would not be bad. We saw alot of water flowing down the usually dry gullies along the way to Havasu and back. I guess I say it everytime we have this type of rain. Would be nice if it could at least be used for irrigation purposes.

Don't forget. Where in the middle of a drought. No 5 minute showers.
Your water meter will brake your bank.

Have the news titled it "Flood Watch 2005" or something with a cool logo? Then you know your really in trouble. :D
Could you actually give us our rain back? Theres no snow in our mountains to go skiing on or to fill our lakes this summer. :frown:

They title it STORM WATCH 200whatever during the first lightly scattered drizzle in October and don't let up all season. It really is all they have. :D That is until the first brush fire then we have FIRE WATCH 200whatever during the windy season :)

Not pretty. My house is 1' above sea level. The drainage channel to the rear of my property is about 12' above the foundation of the house. Yesterday about 8 am the street was rain water lawn to lawn, way beyond the curbline and drain intake. Raining again, but much less that yesterdays mess.

Saw a stat on the news the other night--San Diego has had just as much or more rain than the well known rainy region of Seattle this year...that was before the weekend rains.

Alright who moved here from Seattle recently and brought this. The rain has been non stop forEVER! I live on the top of a hill (near Anaheim Hills) so I look at my hillside every day just in case. Wouldn't think I would ever have a problem, but I bet the victims thought the same before they were swimming in 4 ft of mud! Scary!

I don't remember the last day it did rain. It's suppose to be sunny and clear for the next 5 days and cloudy after that per Yahoo Weather. So S. Cali should have rain the next 5 days, tapering off to cloudy overcast.
