Would like to know the best way to install a cooling tube inside my v-drive case since the water passage has been machined out. Any suggestions?

Go to a synthetic oil like redline, and you will not need the cooling water. My V-drive never gets so warm that you can't lay your hand on it. I run the 70-90 Redline in mine.

lol, but you have never mashed the gas for 40+ miles.
Mine has finned heat exchanger tubing that goes through the case with s.s. -6 bulkheads.

Hey Superdave where did you get the heat exchanger tubing for yours?

Tom Bentley @ Menkens V Drives
I have one of his billet deals but I bet he could do it to yours too. Or at least get you the parts.

Hi "05",
We have installed many lower coolers in the v-drives with the water jacket machined out. Let me know if we can help. I'll look for one.
Good Luck,
