If the boxes will fit the Yellow tops as well, I may be a buyer if Phebus it out.
Let me know, or let me know where to get the boxes..

Insman, I'll answer your question on this since I make those.. The particular boxes in that picture above will not fit a yellow top. They only fit D34 Blue Tops.
I do have some that will fit yellow / red & Blue Tops as well though if you like. They are a bit more then the standard blue top boxes though.
It's a similar design, but the top accomdates a little extra clearance for the changes on the yellow and red. And the "I - Beam" in the back allows clearance for use of the terminals on the side terminals as well.

Incidentally, check your PM's.. I'll take those 2 blue tops off your hands if they are not already sold. Time to kick the old Nordic's stereo play time into over drive..

Ya know I'm not 100% sure on that.. I would think if your going to go with optimas for stereo usage you'd want to use either a blue top or a yellow top though.

Hey RD
I looked on Optimas website and they recommended the yellow tops for high output stereo applications - so I put 2 yellow tops in my boat just for the stereo.
I think the blue tops were more designed for low amperage but long draws (like trolling motors).

Well there ya go. :) Learn something new everyday.. ;)
I currently have 2 blue tops in my boat, and after I pick up these 2, I'm just going to stick with 4 blue tops, until I switch out to Odysseys down the road.

I am going to have to go to the Optima website to check out the specs., but I was told the only difference between the yellow tops, and the deep cycle blue tops were the battery posts. There are two different blue tops, a starting model, and a dual purpose deep cycle.

Phebus...you are correct on the diff between Yellow and blues...The difference that 69elim is talking about is between the dark and light grey casing...
I got this from a rep from Optima at the Silver State Classic Challange race a few years ago...If you can make the Yellows work, they're the better deal as they have a better warranty.
